The second-phase caprolactam project and cyclohexanone project of China Pingmei Shenma Group Nylon Technology Co., Ltd. are located in “China Nylon City”, Ye County, Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. They are both key construction projects in Henan Province and Pingdingshan City. The second-phase caprolactam project started construction in January 2018, with a total investment of about 2.115 billion yuan and a production capacity of 200,000 tons/year. After the project was put into production, the company's caprolactam capacity increased from 100,000 tons/year to 300,000 tons /year, it is expected to increase sales revenue by 2.5 billion yuan/year.
As of now, the second-phase caprolactam project has completed the necessary procedures, the main equipment has also completed the installation of process equipment, electrical equipment, and instrumentation equipment. According to the future plan, after the 200,000-ton/year caprolactam second-phase project is put into operation, the company's caprolactam industry scale will reach 300,000 tons/year. Cyclohexanone is the raw material for the production of caprolactam. The cyclohexanone project started construction in April 2018 and is a supporting construction project for the second-stage caprolactam project, with a production capacity of 150,000 tons/year. At present, the completion of machinery has been completed, and the cleaning and purge phase has been entered. It is expected that the commissioning will start in July and qualified products will be produced by the end of July.
The cyclohexanone project uses the by-product cyclohexane for reprocessing, which not only enhances the product's comprehensive added value, reduces production costs, but also avoids the waste of raw materials, and realizes a green and circular economy development model.
