I. Properties of Core Materials

The core materials for the hydrochloric acid production unit are chlorine, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid. Chlorine (Cl₂) is a yellowish-green gas with a pungent odor, molecular formula Cl₂, relative molecular mass 70.90, density 3.214 g/L, melting point -101℃, boiling point -34.6℃. It is a strong oxidizing and corrosive gas, flammable and toxic, and is the core raw material for the synthesis of hydrogen chloride. Hydrogen (H₂) is a colorless and odorless gas, molecular formula H₂, relative molecular mass 2.02, density 0.0899 g/L, melting point -259.1℃, boiling point -252.9℃. It is flammable and explosive and is the reducing agent in the synthesis of hydrogen chloride. Hydrochloric acid is a colorless, transparent liquid (industrial grade is slightly yellow), with the molecular formula HCl, a relative molecular mass of 36.46, and a density of 1.19 g/cm³. It is highly corrosive, volatile, and readily soluble in water. Our production equipment can flexibly produce 31% industrial-grade concentrated hydrochloric acid and 20%-30% dilute hydrochloric acid to meet the needs of different industries. II. Introduction to Core Process Flow

Hydrochloric acid production adopts fully closed-loop process flow of hydrogen chloride synthesis → multi-stage absorption → finished product purification → storage and packaging. It relies on advanced production equipment to achieve precise linkage and full controllability of each stage, as detailed below:

1. Raw material pretreatment: the raw material chlorine gas is purified and dried to remove impurities, moisture and trace amounts of oil (moisture content ≤0.01%) to avoid corrosion of equipment and affecting reaction efficiency; the hydrogen gas is purified and pressurized to remove impurities and moisture to ensure purity ≥99.9%. The pretreated chlorine gas and hydrogen gas are mixed in a precise ratio (Cl₂:H₂=1:1.05-1.1) and sent to the hydrogen chloride synthesis furnace to prevent excessive chlorine gas from producing byproducts.

2. Hydrogen chloride synthesis: the mixed gas enters the graphite synthesis furnace and undergoes a combustion reaction at high temperature (800-1000℃) to generate hydrogen chloride (HCl) gas. The reaction equation is H₂ + Cl₂ → 2HCl, and the conversion rate is over 99.9%. The high-temperature waste heat is recovered during the synthesis process and used for subsequent process heating or waste heat power generation, realizing energy recovery and utilization. At the same time, the use of graphite equipment effectively resists hydrogen chloride corrosion.

3. Multi-stage absorption: the synthesized hydrogen chloride gas is cooled to 30-40℃ and sent to a multi-stage packed absorption tower, where it comes into countercurrent contact with demineralized water. The hydrogen chloride gas is converted into hydrochloric acid through water absorption. The first-stage absorption tower produces 31% concentrated hydrochloric acid, and the unabsorbed hydrogen chloride gas enters the second and third-stage absorption towers for further absorption, producing 20%-30% dilute hydrochloric acid. This ensures that the hydrogen chloride absorption rate is ≥99.8%, achieving full utilization of the raw materials.

4. Finished product purification and storage: the absorbed hydrochloric acid is cooled and filtered to remove trace impurities and suspended solids, ensuring that the product purity meets the standards. According to customer needs, the concentration of hydrochloric acid can be adjusted to the specified standard through dilution or distillation processes. The purified finished hydrochloric acid is sent to a corrosion-resistant storage tank equipped with liquid level and concentration monitoring devices to prevent volatilization and leakage.

5. Exhaust gas treatment: the small amount of exhaust gas after absorption is treated by an alkaline absorption tower to convert the residual hydrogen chloride gas into harmless salt substances, ensuring that the exhaust gas emissions meet national environmental protection standards, with no leakage of harmful gases, and achieving clean production.

3. Environmental advantages: the entire production process adopts a closed system and is equipped with a high-efficiency exhaust gas absorption device. The concentration of hydrogen chloride in the exhaust gas is lower than the industry standard, and there is no leakage of harmful gases. No wastewater is generated during the production process. A small amount of cleaning wastewater is treated and recycled to achieve zero emissions, which is in line with the concept of green and low-carbon development and meets environmental protection emission requirements.

4.
