1. Material Overview

Carbon fiber is a new type of high-strength, high-modulus, and high-temperature-resistant fiber material with a carbon content of over 95%, and it also boasts the highest heat resistance among all synthetic fibers. Carbon fiber is widely used in aerospace, power, new energy, and major infrastructure projects.

2. Process Introduction

The drying system adopts closed-loop circulation process with nitrogen protection. The wet carbon fiber is fed into the spin flash dryer through feeding screw conveyor. Inside the dryer, it is dispersed and rapidly dehydrated by hot airflow from bottom to top. Larger particle falls down by gravity to the dispersing area at the bottom of the spin flash dryer, and it is carried upward by the hot air for further drying after dispersed by the dispersing blades.

Finally, nitrogen and materials are discharged from the top of spin flash dryer and enter the cyclone through the airflow ducting to collect the materials.

3. Technical Advantages

1) Utilizing nitrogen closed-loop circulation and spin flash drying integrated structure, it operates in a fully enclosed inert environment with a built-in crushing and dispersing mechanism, resulting in instantaneous heat and mass transfer, high drying intensity and fast drying velocity.

2) With recycling and supporting waste heat recovery design, hot air and nitrogen are not discharged outside, resulting in high heat utilization efficiency. Only a small amount of nitrogen is needed to make up for leakage losses, leading to low medium consumption.

3) It features overall integration, compact structure, precise and adjustable temperature control, continuous automated operation, simple structure, low failure rate, and convenient daily maintenance.
