Nylon 66 Chips
1. Material Overview
Nylon 66, also known as polyamide 66, polyamide-66, or polyhexamethylene adipamide, is produced through the condensation polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid. It boasts excellent overall performance, including high strength, good rigidity, impact resistance, oil and chemical resistance, wear resistance, and self-lubrication. Its hardness, rigidity, heat resistance, and creep resistance are particularly superior. Furthermore, the raw materials are readily available and inexpensive, making it widely used in industrial, clothing, decorative, and engineering plastics fields.
Polyamide plastic products are widely used as various mechanical and electrical parts, including bearings, gears, pulley pump impellers, blades, high-pressure seals, gaskets, valve seats, bushings, oil pipes, oil reservoirs, ropes, drive belts, grinding wheel adhesives, battery boxes, electrical coils, cable connectors, etc.

2. Process Introduction
The main product of this project is nylon 66 (i.e., polymerized hexamethylene adipamide), and the intermediate product is hexamethylene adipamide. The reaction byproducts of this process are few, mainly consisting of raw material hexamethylenediamine (HMD), adipic acid (AA), and carbon dioxide.
The reacted Nylon 66 brine solution is pumped through reactor, flash evaporator, and pre- and post-polymerization processes to complete high-compression polymerization, material depressurization, normal-compression polymerization, and negative-compression reactions, thereby producing qualified polymer. This polymer is then cast into strips and granulated by pelletizer to form Nylon 66 chips. These chips are conveyed to a drying tower for drying and then sent to a finished product silo for packaging.

3. Technical Advantages
1) The synthesis of high-quality nylon 66 salt utilizes more efficient and stable continuous processing technology, which ensures the uniformity and consistency of nylon 66 salt and polymer.
2) Polymer melt conveying technology: the melt conveying pipeline is designed to reduce the thermal degradation of nylon 66 melt caused by prolonged contact with the high-temperature pipe wall, thereby improving product quality and extending the equipment operating time. The overhaul cycle has been extended from 1-1.5 years to 2.5-3 years.
3) The polymerizer maintenance cycle can be extended by 50%.
4) The use of high-concentration nylon 66 salt concentration technology and evaporation recovery technology reduces energy consumption. 40,000TPA capacity combined with low energy consumption gives the product a lower cost advantage.
4. Technical Benefit
1) Relying on the underlying support of raw material uniformity and quality consistency, the chips do not require additional adjustment of process parameters in the spinning, injection molding and other processing stages. The melt flow is stable, the shrinkage rate fluctuates little, and there is no significant difference in performance between batches of finished products. This greatly reduces the rework rate and quality control costs of downstream enterprises, achieve the final product higher quality rate, and establishes stable and reliable market reputation.
2) The significant extension of equipment overhaul and maintenance cycles directly reduces unplanned downtime and maintenance manpower, lowers spare parts consumption and equipment maintenance costs, while extending production line uptime and increasing capacity utilization per unit time. It can avoid order delays and economic losses caused by downtime, ensuring stable growth in enterprise production efficiency.
3) Relying on the dual support of low energy consumption and large-scale production capacity, the comprehensive production cost per ton of slices is more advantageous than similar products. This allows enterprises to have higher profit margins in the same price market and expand market share through appropriate price adjustments. At the same time, the low energy consumption characteristic can continuously reduce the cost, further amplify long-term profitability, and improve the overall economic benefits.
