Potassium Chloride-Fluid Bed Dryer

Potassium Chloride

1. Material Overview

Potassium chloride is an essential fertilizer for plant growth. It has a rapid effect on readily absorbed by the soil and not easily lost. Applying appropriate amounts of potassium fertilizer can make crop stems strong, prevent lodging, promote flowering and fruiting, and enhance resistance to drought, cold, and pests and diseases. Therefore, it is of great significance for high agricultural yields.

To date, potassium chloride remains the world's most important potassium fertilizer, accounting for over 90% of global potassium fertilizer sales. Of this, 50% is applied directly, and the remainder is mainly used to manufacture compound fertilizers.

2. Process Introduction

The wet quartz sand is fed into the fluid bed layer through the conveying equipment, and the hot air maintains material in the normal fluidization state. The hot air exchange the heat with wet material to evaporate its moisture, then dried product is discharged through the discharge outlet of the dryer.

3. Technical Advantages

1) Uniform fluidization + precise temperature control

The standardized air distribution plate design is adopted, which enables the material to form a stable and uniform fluidized layer. The heating is consistent without local overheating. Combined with segmented temperature control system, the drying temperature and air velocity are highly controllable, ensuring the uniformity of material drying.

2) Simple structure + stable operation

it has advantages of simple structure without complex transmission mechanism, stable and reliable continuous operation, few vulnerable parts, low failure rate, and convenient daily inspection and maintenance.

3) High-efficiency convection + full utilization of heat

Hot air comes into direct contact with fluidized materials, featuring high heat and mass transfer efficiency, good utilization rate of heat medium, large single-machine processing capacity, and the ability to meet the large-scale drying requirements of materials with different particle sizes.

4. Technical Benefit

1) More stable product quality

Due to uniform fluidization and precise temperature control, the materials are heated evenly without any local over-drying or underdrying, with high consistency in moisture content. The qualification rate of finished products has been significantly improved, greatly reducing the losses caused by rework and scrapping, and ensuring the market recognition of the products.

2) Lower operation and maintenance costs

Due to its simple structure and few vulnerable parts, the daily maintenance workload is small and the inspection frequency is low, so there is no need for frequent shutdowns for maintenance. Moreover, it operates stably, reduce equipment failure downtime, lower labor and maintenance cost simultaneously, and enhance production continuity.

3) Optimization of production capacity and energy consumption

Due to the enhancement of heat utilization efficiency through efficient convective heat transfer, energy consumption such as steam and electricity has been significantly reduced. The large processing capacity of a single machine and its continuous operation make it suitable for large-scale production capacity demands, shortening production cycles, increasing output value per unit time, and achieving economic benefits.
