Vanillin
1. Material Overview
Vanillin, commonly known as vanilla powder, is one of the most produced synthetic flavorings. It possesses a strong and unique vanilla bean aroma, which is stable and does not easily volatilize at higher temperatures. It is susceptible to light and gradually oxidizes in air, and easily changes color when exposed to alkalis or alkaline substances. It can be used as a food additive, in the production of pharmaceutical intermediates, and also as a plant growth promoter, bactericide, lubricant defoamer, electroplating brightener, and conductive agent in printed circuit board production.

2. Process Introduction
The drying system adopts closed-loop circulation process with nitrogen protection for drying and cooling. The wet vanillin from the upstream section is fed into the fluid bed dryer. Inside the dryer, the material comes into contact with hot nitrogen above the air distribution plate, maintaining the fluidization state by suspending the material particles in the airflow. Dried product is cooling down by the cold nitrogen in the cooling section of the dryer, and it is finally discharged from the product outlet of dryer.

3. Technical Advantages
1) Utilizing closed-loop nitrogen circulation system with inert, sealed atmosphere can completely isolates oxygen, effectively preventing material oxidation.
2) The nitrogen circulation along with waste heat recovery ensures that hot air and nitrogen are not discharged externally, resulting in high heat utilization. Only a small amount of nitrogen needs to make up, and media loss and energy consumption are far lower than with open-loop nitrogen drying.
